Feedback Medical and Patients Know Best (PKB) today announce a new partnership that brings together Bleepa, Feedback Medical’s award-winning elective care platform, with PKB, the UK’s leading personal health record and patient engagement solution. The collaboration enables a fully connected digital pathway – linking clinicians, diagnostic teams and patients – to deliver faster, safer and more personalised care.
A unified experience for clinicians and patients
The new integration ensures that clinicians can manage referrals, review documentation, and access patient-submitted information within a single workflow in Bleepa, while patients receive clear communication, questionnaires, and pathway updates through PKB, including via the NHS App.
By combining Bleepa’s secure clinical collaboration tools with PKB’s trusted patient-facing services, organisations can reduce duplication, streamline communication, and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
How the integration works
Building on HL7 and FHIR standards, the integration supports end-to-end pathway workflows:
- Automated patient communication: When a referral is accepted, organisations can trigger confirmation messages, pathway guidance, and signposting directly to the patient through PKB.
- Patient-submitted information: Questionnaires, diaries and other assessments are sent digitally to patients; once completed, PKB surfaces the results to clinicians within Bleepa’s documentation tab.
- Clinical decision support: Bleepa provides clinicians with an up-to-date view of the patient episode – including imaging, documents, diagnostic results and patient-entered data – supporting faster triage and decision-making.
- A connected record: All patient-facing documentation is accessible through PKB, giving patients a single place to view their care information, notifications, and next steps.
Building on a proven track record
A highly efficient pathway model delivered through Bleepa has already demonstrated for breathlessness:
- 63% faster than the 18-week referral to treatment target for traditional pathways
- 90% reduction in outpatient appointments
By combining this with PKB’s ability to reach patients directly through intuitive digital tools – including web, mobile, and NHS App integration – the joint solution creates a powerful bridge between primary care, secondary care, diagnostics and patients.
Supporting a wide range of pathways
While initially demonstrated through a streamlined insomnia pathway, the integration is pathway agnostic and configurable for a broad range of services – from chronic condition management to diagnostics-led pathways and community services. Organisations can tailor questionnaires, documents and communications to meet their specific clinical workflow. The partnership supports the delivery of a single point of access, simplifying access to services for patients and GPs and facilitating advice and guidance for clinicians.
“Our mission is to help the NHS move away from the traditional operating model and realise its dream of shifting from analogue to digital care, embracing tech-enabled care models that cut wait times, better utilise investment in diagnostic capacity and deliver for patients and taxpayers. What better way than to put the patient at the centre of their care journey? Integrating Bleepa with PKB ensures that patient information flows securely and seamlessly across care settings, while patients themselves remain fully included in their journey. We’re proud to partner with PKB to deliver this step-change in pathway modernisation.” CEO of Feedback Medical
“PKB’s mission is to provide a single, integrated record for every patient — and connecting with medical devices like Bleepa is critical to that vision. This integration brings the entire pathway together, ensuring clinicians have the right data at the right moment while patients stay informed every step of the way. We are delighted to be serving patients and clinicians immediately within a shared customer site and look forward to rolling this out to others as a priority.” CEO of Patients Know Best
